C'est une mauvaise approche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Au d\u00e9but, les bords cessent de fonctionner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Et lorsqu'un dispositif de verre de protection cesse de fonctionner, l'analyse ne met g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas en cause un seul coupable spectaculaire ; elle met en \u00e9vidence une g\u00e9om\u00e9trie d\u00e9faillante des entretoises, une continuit\u00e9 insuffisante du joint principal, une composition chimique inadapt\u00e9e du deuxi\u00e8me produit d'\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9, des bords de verre mal nettoy\u00e9s, une manipulation pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9e du dessiccant, ainsi qu'un responsable de fabrication qui a accord\u00e9 davantage de cr\u00e9dit au tableau de compatibilit\u00e9 fourni par le fournisseur qu'\u00e0 ses propres donn\u00e9es d'essai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C'est la dure r\u00e9alit\u00e9. Le syst\u00e8me d'\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 des bords IGU n'est pas un simple d\u00e9tail. C'est l'\u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le minist\u00e8re am\u00e9ricain de l'\u00c9nergie pr\u00e9cise toujours que les apports et les pertes de chaleur par les fen\u00eatres des logements repr\u00e9sentent&nbsp;<strong>25% \u2013 30% : consommation d'\u00e9nergie li\u00e9e au chauffage et \u00e0 la climatisation des b\u00e2timents<\/strong>, c'est pourquoi les dispositifs en verre de protection haute performance sont de plus en plus utilis\u00e9s dans le cadre de normes plus strictes, pour les fa\u00e7ades haut de gamme, les logements en climat froid, les enveloppes de b\u00e2timents passives, les \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9, les institutions et les travaux de r\u00e9novation de b\u00e2timents commerciaux. Simple ? Pas vraiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le choix de la meilleure entretoise pour prot\u00e9ger les appareils en verre d\u00e9pend de la conception globale : aluminium, hybride acier inoxydable, polycarbonate, bord isolant en mousse, bord isolant rigide, mousse de silicone ou syst\u00e8mes composites : tous se comportent diff\u00e9remment face \u00e0 la chaleur, au froid, aux cycles de pompage, \u00e0 l\u2019exposition directe aux UV sur les c\u00f4t\u00e9s, \u00e0 la d\u00e9formation du verre, aux contraintes li\u00e9es au transport et aux propri\u00e9t\u00e9s chimiques des produits d\u2019\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C'est l\u00e0 que les individus se retrouvent face \u00e0 eux-m\u00eames. Un intercalaire \u201c \u00e0 bord chaud \u201d peut r\u00e9duire la conduction thermique et contribuer \u00e0 la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la condensation, mais le terme \u00ab bord chaud \u00bb ne garantit pas automatiquement la durabilit\u00e9. Guardian Glass d\u00e9finit les intercalaires \u00ab warm-edge \u00bb comme un moyen de r\u00e9duire la conduction thermique par rapport aux intercalaires m\u00e9talliques standard, tout en soulignant que les mod\u00e8les d\u2019intercalaires diff\u00e8rent selon leur ad\u00e9quation architecturale. Ce dernier point est essentiel. Un ch\u00e2ssis de fen\u00eatre r\u00e9sidentiel et un mur-rideau de gratte-ciel ne sont pas exactement la m\u00eame chose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si vous sp\u00e9cifiez du verre de fa\u00e7ade en plus d'un vitrage sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9, veillez \u00e0 ce que les sp\u00e9cifications techniques relatives aux profil\u00e9s de bordure soient exactement les m\u00eames que celles du lot de vitrages. Les assemblages r\u00e9sistants au feu, par exemple, impliquent des contraintes et des exigences r\u00e9glementaires diff\u00e9rentes de celles des vitrages isolants ordinaires ; ainsi, un projet utilisant&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/theinsulatedglass.com\/fr\/factory-direct-fire-resistant-laminated-glass\/\">verre feuillet\u00e9 ignifuge d'origine<\/a>&nbsp;Il ne faut pas n\u00e9gliger le choix de l'entretoise et du mastic secondaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"main-and-additional-sealants-for-igus-the-two-layer-reality\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mastics principaux et compl\u00e9mentaires pour les vitrages isolants : la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 des deux couches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La plupart des vitrages isolants \u00e0 haute performance reposent sur un syst\u00e8me \u00e0 double joint d'\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9. Le joint principal, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement en polyisobutyl\u00e8ne (PIB), fait office de barri\u00e8re contre les gaz et la vapeur d'eau. Le joint secondaire sert de renfort structurel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le PIB freine le secteur du gaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, le PIB seul est un mat\u00e9riau souple, sujet au fluage, et n\u2019est pas con\u00e7u pour supporter les m\u00eames contraintes m\u00e9caniques que les syst\u00e8mes secondaires \u00e0 base de silicone, de polysulfure, de polyur\u00e9thane ou de colle thermofusible ; en conditions r\u00e9elles de production, le joint principal prot\u00e8ge la cavit\u00e9 tandis que le joint secondaire emp\u00eache les vitres, l'intercalaire et le profil\u00e9 de bord de se comporter comme des composants desserr\u00e9s sous l'effet de charges cycliques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ainsi, lorsque l\u2019on me demande : \u201c Quels mastics sont compatibles avec les intercalaires \u201d warm edge \u00bb ? \u00bb, je commence par poser une question bien plus \u00e9pineuse : dans quelles conditions d\u2019exposition, sur quelle surface d\u2019intercalaire, pour quelle finition, avec quel gaz de remplissage, quelle largeur de joint, quelles dimensions de vitrage, quel encastrement dans le cadre et dans quel environnement ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un certificat de compatibilit\u00e9 qui ne mentionne pas ces variables n'est qu'une mascarade administrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce secteur en a fait les frais. Home Window + Door a en effet r\u00e9pertori\u00e9 les causes courantes de d\u00e9faillance des vitrages isolants, parmi lesquelles figurent les conflits entre composants, une composition inad\u00e9quate du mastic, la pr\u00e9sence de poches d\u2019air dans le cordon de mastic, un remplissage insuffisant des bords, un mauvais positionnement des entretoises, un d\u00e9shydratant \u00e0 nu et un rev\u00eatement Low-E endommag\u00e9. Rien de tout cela n\u2019a de surprenant. Elle englobe l'adh\u00e9rence, la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la migration, les interactions avec les traitements, les effets de compression, les variations thermiques, la r\u00e9tention des gaz, la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la vapeur d'eau et la r\u00e9p\u00e9tabilit\u00e9 de la production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je vais aller droit au but : certains fabricants utilisent l\u2019expression \u201c bord isolant \u201d comme argument marketing, tout en n\u00e9gligeant de tester suffisamment la composition chimique. Le mod\u00e8le thermique est homologu\u00e9. Le joint p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique n\u2019est pas suffisamment r\u00e9sistant. Puis, des probl\u00e8mes d\u2019embuage apparaissent sur le terrain des ann\u00e9es plus tard, et tout le monde fait comme si le projet avait \u00e9t\u00e9 un \u00e9chec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce n'est pas un malheur. C'est simplement un manque de tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le support d'espacement lat\u00e9ral \u00ab Cozy \u00bb de Technoform indique que les essais d'adh\u00e9rence sont effectu\u00e9s dans les conditions suivantes :&nbsp;<strong>EN ISO 1279<\/strong>&nbsp;et les joints d'\u00e9tanch\u00e9it\u00e9 assurent une bonne adh\u00e9rence, ce qui permet de r\u00e9duire les fuites d'argon ou de krypton et de limiter la p\u00e9n\u00e9tration de l'humidit\u00e9. Ce n'est pas un argument de vente tir\u00e9 d'une brochure ; c'est le r\u00e9sultat concret.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un vitrage isolant haute performance contenant de l\u2019argon, dot\u00e9 d\u2019un rev\u00eatement Low-E, de verre feuillet\u00e9, d\u2019une fritte c\u00e9ramique ou de verre d\u00e9coratif peut pr\u00e9senter des risques suppl\u00e9mentaires lors de la mise en \u0153uvre, car les faces peuvent \u00eatre plus complexes, les finitions peuvent n\u00e9cessiter un aff\u00fbtage des bords, et l\u2019aspect visuel peut inciter les \u00e9quipes \u00e0 resserrer excessivement les tol\u00e9rances. Si le chantier comprend \u00e9galement des vitrages en hauteur, tels que&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/theinsulatedglass.com\/fr\/bulk-silk-screen-ceramic-frit-glass-for-skylights\/\">Verre c\u00e9ramique \u00e0 fritte pour vitrages de toit, en vrac, s\u00e9rigraphi\u00e9<\/a>, le syst\u00e8me \u00ab Edge \u00bb m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre examin\u00e9 d\u2019un \u0153il encore plus critique, et non pas moins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pourquoi ? Parce que les lucarnes mettent les joints \u00e0 rude \u00e9preuve. La chaleur, les rayons UV, le risque d'accumulation d'eau, les mouvements et l'angle d'installation sont autant de facteurs qui compromettent des choix de compatibilit\u00e9 irr\u00e9fl\u00e9chis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"the-chemistry-fight-silicone-polysulfide-polyurethane-hot-melt-pib\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">La bataille des compos\u00e9s chimiques : silicone, polysulfure, polyur\u00e9thane, adh\u00e9sif thermofusible, PIB<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Laissons de c\u00f4t\u00e9 le jargon marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le PIB constitue un obstacle majeur. Le silicone est souvent privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 en cas d'exposition directe aux UV, pour les vitrages architecturaux ou lorsque la r\u00e9sistance au mouvement est un enjeu. Le polysulfure est en effet utilis\u00e9 depuis longtemps dans les joints secondaires des vitrages isolants, notamment lorsque la r\u00e9tention de gaz est un enjeu. Le polyur\u00e9thane peut offrir une forte adh\u00e9rence et des avantages en termes de production, mais les limites li\u00e9es \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre et \u00e0 l'exposition posent probl\u00e8me. Les syst\u00e8mes thermofusibles peuvent \u00eatre rapides et efficaces, mais la rapidit\u00e9 n\u2019est pas synonyme de stabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme des joints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voil\u00e0 l'histoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le probl\u00e8me est encore plus complexe : un mastic pour vitrage de protection peut satisfaire \u00e0 une s\u00e9rie de tests en laboratoire et pourtant pr\u00e9senter un comportement d\u00e9sastreux lorsqu\u2019il est associ\u00e9 \u00e0 un type sp\u00e9cifique d\u2019intercalaire, \u00e0 une peinture de meneaux, \u00e0 un bloc de fixation, \u00e0 un ruban de vitrage, \u00e0 des r\u00e9sidus de nettoyage, \u00e0 un silicone incompatible ou \u00e0 une surface de finition dont les bords ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9coup\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les recommandations de compatibilit\u00e9 de Cardinal soulignent que l\u2019utilisation de produits inadapt\u00e9s \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du joint IG peut entra\u00eener une perte d\u2019adh\u00e9rence, une augmentation de la p\u00e9n\u00e9tration de l\u2019humidit\u00e9, une fuite d\u2019argon et une d\u00e9t\u00e9rioration du PIB. Il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 d\u2019une s\u00e9rie de d\u00e9faillances que les acheteurs d\u00e9signent parfois sous le terme de \u201c bu\u00e9e \u201d. Or, la bu\u00e9e n\u2019est en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 que le r\u00e9sultat visible de ces d\u00e9faillances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour les ensembles de vitrages d\u00e9coratifs d'int\u00e9rieur, tels que&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/theinsulatedglass.com\/fr\/wholesale-fluted-interior-decoration-glass-glass-bottle\/\">vente en gros de verre cannel\u00e9 pour la d\u00e9coration d'int\u00e9rieur<\/a>, la compatibilit\u00e9 lat\u00e9rale peut sembler moins importante que pour les vitrages isolants ext\u00e9rieurs.
